At our studio, we believe in creating a positive and enjoyable learning experience for students. To ensure smooth lessons and a nurturing environment, we kindly request your cooperation with the following guidelines:

  1. Please avoid using mobile phones or engaging in conversations in the studio to minimize interruptions during ongoing lessons.

  2. Regular practice is essential for skill development. We recommend the following practice durations:

  • Beginners and Grade 1: 20-30 minutes daily.

  • Grade 2-4: 30-45 minutes daily, with additional practice whenever possible.

  • Grade 5-7: 45 minutes to one hour or more daily.

  • Grade 8 Diploma Level: 1.5 hours or more daily.

  • Diploma Level: 2.5 hours or more daily.

Using a metronome at home can greatly benefit students by helping them maintain proper timing.

  1. Parents are welcome to wait in the designated waiting room during lessons. We kindly request that others wait until the lesson concludes before picking up the student. We are open to discussing your child's progress and exploring ways to enhance their motivation and improvement.

  2. Please note that there are no lessons during Christmas, Boxing Day, and the first five days of Chinese New Year. Lessons scheduled during these times will be rescheduled. For lessons falling on public holidays, we can reschedule them with one week's notice. The studio reserves the right to reschedule lessons during holidays as well.

  3. Students are responsible for purchasing all required music books and materials. If you have any questions regarding the purchase of music scores or equipment, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here to guide you in making the right choices.

  4. Consistency is key. We expect students to attend lessons regularly and show mutual respect for each other's time. We also appreciate well-behaved students. It is important for us to maintain a positive learning environment, and we may need to reassess teaching students who consistently disregard our time and studio policies.

  5. We encourage and support students' participation in competitions, master classes, and examinations. Please inform us of your plans, and we will assist you in making the right choices. To avoid conflicts of interest, we may need to consider Ms. Fung's involvement as an adjudicator in exams or competitions.

  6. Timeliness is important, as we have a full schedule to accommodate. If you're running late, please notify us. However, if the delay exceeds 15 minutes, the lesson will be canceled without a refund, unless there is a reasonable excuse. Please plan accordingly to make the most of your lesson time.

  7. Weekly lessons at the designated time and day are recommended. If you need to reschedule due to holidays or exams, please inform us at least one week in advance via email, WhatsApp, or phone. Missed lessons should be made up within the following week to ensure continuous progress. If you are unable to attend a lesson, we require 24 hours' notice; otherwise, the lesson fee will not be refunded.

  8. Payment for lessons should be made in advance for the entire month, including any additional lessons in that month. Payment can be made by cheque, cash, or bank transfer.

  9. Finally, our ultimate goal is for students to enjoy music. We want them to look forward to their piano lessons. Our studio provides a fun and engaging environment where students can thrive and derive joy from their musical journey.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. We are excited to embark on this musical adventure together!
